Chester / Triple Crown Blackberry

Considered one of the more winter hardy and productive thornless varieties available, Chester blackberry (pictured) produces large, high-quality fruit that ripens in early to mid-August. Fruit has good flavor when fully ripe, and does not soften or lose its shiny black color in hot weather. Triple Crown Blackerry (not pictured) is a self-fruitful, free-standing, thornless shrub that produces one crop of fruit per year. Clusters of white, 5-petaled, rose-like flowers in spring give way to firm, glossy blackberries of excellent eating quality that mature in summer.
